The Writers Store is the largest reseller of third-party writing and filmmaking tools worldwide. The Burbank-based company also develops content, courses, services, and specialty software, and hosts four popular websites and an active 13,000+ and growing Facebook community. F+W Media is currently searching for a Product Specialist for The Writers Store.
It is the responsibility of a Product Specialist to aid customers of The Writers Store in their selection of the best suitable product(s) based on their individual needs and style of work, and to acquaint customers with new and existing products, which otherwise complement their work. The result of this is to maximize all sales opportunities The Writers Store provides through its extensive advertising efforts. Additionally, the Product Specialist will assist in special projects, shipping and receiving, and administrative duties as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sales – Development of sales and customer relationships through inquiry, listening to and understanding The Writers Store customers’ creative goals, while presenting relevant products and services as a solution to their needs.
- Preparation – Create future sales by providing information related to our potential and continuing customers’ needs.
- Customer Service – Cooperate with other team members in the pursuit of meeting our customers’ expectations/needs
- Order Processing and Shipping – Review, approve, and print orders placed on WritersStore.com
Requirements:
- Prior experience in direct sales, including retail sales, phone sales or conference sales
- Minimum 2 years of experience with screenwriting or filmmaking is required
- High School Diploma required, college preferred
- Ability to travel to conference destinations within and outside of Los Angeles
- Must be able to work weekend days
- This is an on-call position to fill various roles within the company as needed, all applicants must have a flexible schedule
