
David Nussbaum
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Named one of MIN’s Most Intriguing People and as Industry Influencer on the FOLIO: 40, David Nussbaum has served as Chairman & Chief Executive Officer since 2008. Nussbaum is credited as the driving force behind the transformation of F+W Media, Inc. from print-focused publisher to today a leading digital-first, content and e-commerce Company.
From 2004 through the sale of the company in 2007, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Penton Media Inc. and as Executive Vice President there since 1998. He was responsible for the launch and acquisition of many iconic business media brands including New Hope Natural Media, Mecklermedia, PC Expo, Digital Book World, among many media properties in the print, event and emedia communities.
Prior to joining F+W, Nussbaum formed Sundance Business Enterprises a joint venture with ABRY Partners, LLC, to seek digital media and information/communication services acquisitions.
Nussbaum is a Board Director for Summit Business Media, and Thomas Nelson Publishing, and is also on the Advisory Board for Metamorphic Ventures, a leading early stage technology venture firm, and Boston University’s School of Communications.

Jim Ogle, Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining F+W, Ogle served as Chief Financial Officer, Cygnus Business Media, an ABRY Partners company, acted as Vice President of Finance for Penton Media, and served as Controller for Sharemax. Ogle has extensive industry experience having worked with operating groups in magazine, events, and eMedia and is well-versed in M&A transactions across the media landscape. For F+W, he oversees the management of finance and accounting, production and manufacturing operations, and IT for the Company.
Sara Domville, President
Named President of F+W Media in 2008, Domville joined the Company in 2005 as President of the Book Division responsible for North Light Books, Writers Digest Books, Adams Media, David & Charles, and Krause Books. Prior to this appointment she served as Managing Director of the David & Charles Group Limited including the extensive direct to consumer business, Readers Union Limited. With a background in sales, she has spent more than 24 years in the publishing industry, serving at Reed Consumer Books, HarperCollins, Unwin Hyman and Macmillan Children’s Books.
David Blansfield, President
Blansfield joined F+W as Magazine Division President, and now as President, holds responsibility for one-half of all Company communities. Additionally, he manages several ancillary businesses, including the Company’s burgeoning trade and consumer event business. For nearly twenty-five years, he has had a proven track record of growing print, online, and event businesses. Most recently he served as Senior Vice President of the Design Engineering Group for Penton Media.
Chad Phelps, Chief Digital Officer
Prior to joining F+W, Phelps served as Vice President of the online division of CK Media, based in Golden, Colorado. CK Media owns and operates magazines and events in the crafts space, including Creating Keepsakes, formerly a division of PRIMEDIA. For five years prior, Phelps worked alongside David Nussbaum and acted as Group Director for Penton Media. He was named Chief Digital Officer in September, 2011.
Phil Graham, Senior Vice President, Operations
Graham brings to F+W a unique mix of experience in all aspects of publishing and printing plant operations. Prior to seven years with Penton Media as Vice President of Production and Manufacturing, Graham was employed with R.R. Donnelly and Dow Jones and Company. He is charged with the re-engineering of Company’s manufacturing process as well as managing the Company’s IT functions.
Amy Meyer, Vice President, Human Resources & Talent Management
Meyer joined F+W in 2004. She has responsibility for all Human Resources functions for the Company, including recruiting, employee relations, training and development, and benefits. Prior to joining F+W, she held senior positions with Cincinnati Bell and Ethicon: a Johnson & Johnson company.
Stacie Berger, Communications Director
Berger joined F+W in 1994 as publicist for the former book division. In the years since, she has taken part in the growth and evolution of the Company from a Cincinnati-based book publisher to today’s F+W; an International leading multimedia content provider. Prior to joining F+W she held editorial and advertising positions on the east coast.

Kathleen Kaplan Blackwelder, Director of eCommerce
Blackwelder joined F+W Media in 2010 as Director of eCommerce overseeing the company’s 20+ e-Stores. She spent five years as the eCommerce Marketing Director for the major national retailer, The Finish Line. Her retail experience encompasses everything from ecommerce marketing to merchandise planning, distribution, forecasting, and team management. She has held positions with Gap, Inc. and The Limited, Inc.
Kate Rados, Group Marketing Director
Prior to F+W Media, Rados was the Director of Digital Initiatives for Chelsea Green Publishing and Director of Digital Markets for Sterling. She began her marketing career in television, launching many Food Network notables such as Rachael Ray, Giada DeLaurentiis, Paula Deen, and Sandra Lee and serving as Casting Director for MTV Networks.
