Out of Print Status Notification

Effective immediately, F+W Media will be issuing two Out of Print Status reports, annually. These reports will be issued on July 1st and January 1st. Accounts will be given 180 days after notification that a title has been declared Out of Print to return it for credit. F+W Media will not extend credit nor return to the customer any stock that is received after the Out of Print notification deadline date.

Adams Media, Krause Publications, Writer’s Digest Books, North Light Books, HOW Books, and David & Charles are all  imprints of F+W Media.

It has come to our attention that our subscribers are receiving marketing promotions including phone calls from individuals/companies regarding their subscriptions with F+W Media. These individuals/companies are offering renewals (often 3-year renewals) and are very aggressive in asking for bank account numbers or credit card numbers.

We have no relationship with these companies and have no guarantee subscriptions purchased from these companies will be sent to F+W Media.

Below please find a list of companies that are unauthorized to sell subscriptions from or represent F+W Media in any way.

Please note that we do use some legitimate subscription services to sell our publications. However, these agencies will not ask for bank account or credit card information over the telephone. For more secure ordering, we encourage you to renew your subscription through our mailed renewal notices or online. Our mailed renewal notices always display the magazine logo and ask that payments be sent to our customer service center in Palm Coast, Florida.

What types of Text messages are available from F+W Media?
Each F+W community provides our enthusiasts with the option to receive information about their passions via SMS text messaging.

What is the price for these messages?
There is no additional charge for F+W Media text messages. However, message and data rates may apply. Check with your carrier for details on your plan.

What carriers are compatible with F+W Media messages?
Compatible carriers include: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Nextel, Boost, Alltel, US Cellular, and Cellular One.

Are there any additional carrier charges associated with the service?
Standard message rates apply to all text messages. Message rates differ from carrier to carrier, so please contact your wireless phone service provider to inquire about the details of your plan.

How many text messages can I expect to receive?
You can expect to receive no more than four text messages per month per community.

Are F+W text messages available for international users?
No, they are currently only available for subscribers within the United States.

How do I opt-in to receive text messages?
Instructions vary depending upon which community you wish to join.  For example, you may text ADAMS to 36698 to receive text messaged from the Adams Community.   A text message will be returned asking users to confirm that they wish to receive periodic text messages from the Adams Community.  Only individuals that respond affirmatively will be opted-in for future text messages.

How do I discontinue receiving messages?
Instructions vary depending upon which community you wish to discontinue receiving messages from.  For Example, text ASTOP to 36698 to discontinue receiving messages from the Adams Community.
